“Bulletin Boards”

Considering I only have 2 bulletin boards in my classroom, it is difficult to display lots of things around my room, so I have to improvise. My friend & co-worker shared the idea of using foam core board as bulletin boards. They are light, stay on the walls with hot glue, & you can use tacks or staples. You can cut them to whatever size or shape you would like & then cover them and recover them with anything! Wrapping paper, butcher paper, newspaper, maps, ANYTHING. You just wrap them like a present & add content! Here are the semi-creative ways I’ve been displaying things around my room:

Behind my desk for photo collage. (Sorry, blurry!)

Original idea for this board from here {Pinterest}.

No Names board original idea from Mrs. Brown’s Blog. {Pinterest}

Hanging file folders to hold work. This will hopefully prevent my terrible problem of leaving stacks of papers everywhere!
File folder idea from The Silver Lining.

How I love you wrapping paper!!!

Using duct tape as a border. I will thumb tack our current Science vocab on this board as we go. This IS an actual bulletin board!

This is NOT a cork board. I just hung up black butcher paper with a duct tape border! Will use hot glue or tape to hang stuffHaven’t decided what to hang here yet!

Motivation poster collage under the white board, not finished! The squares of duct tape at the end will be used as my homework board. Have to label each box M, T, W, etc.
Also, I made the chalkboard talk bubbles out of foam core board & chalk board paint!

Using clip boards to hang posters. I am ALWAYS wanting to change my posters based on what we’re learning about! So instead of hot gluing the posters each time, I just hot glued a few clip boards to the wall. Now I can change my posters whenever I want!

Still have lots of work to do & lots of space to fill!! All for now!

    The entire time I was admiring the polka dot paper and wondering how it looked like wrapping paper and lo and behold – it is wrapping paper. Such a fun idea! I think the front of my desk needs some covering this week! ;)
